Greek fiction movie | Social
Synopsis:
The chronicle of the meeting of two forty-year-old women, from noon on May 20th, 1964, until the next morning. Filio is the widow and Dimitra is the sister of Andreas Kallimanopoulos, a hero of the Resistance, who was executed in December '44. Andreas did not have time to be imprisoned, exiled or sign anything. Filio knows a lot about this man, whom she loved in her adolescence, married at 19 and left shortly before his death.
Leaving for America in December '44, she took with her the secrets and the child she had not yet given birth to. Since then she has remained silent. Dimitra is a member of the Communist Party, an ambassador of justice (primarily individual and family) and talkative. She exposes herself, claims, wrongs, and errs. She honors the memory of her beloved brother.
The two women lived through the same historical events: Occupation, Civil war, and National Schism.
However, they recorded them differently. They experienced the same family events: losses, chases, sacrifices, loves, and sorrows.
And now, fifteen years later, they meet in an Athenian neoclassical building, a few square meters capable of disturbing left and right consciences during the time of the junta.
