The history of the Olympic Games and their revival in the modern era come to life through a cinematic lens in the documentary produced by ERT.

The documentary film "GAMES: From Myth to Revival" highlights, through history, art, and culture, the Olympic, universal values that were born in Ancient Olympia and led to the idea of their revival. It captures unknown aspects of Olympic history that are connected to the Greek and French Revolutions and reveals the founders of the modern Olympic Games.

The documentary is a production of ERT with filming taking place in iconic locations of four cities: Ancient Olympia, Athens, Paris, and Vienna. Musical documents from the 19th century were orchestrated and recorded specifically for the documentary by the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra.

The music is composed by the distinguished composer Dimitris Papadimitriou.
